Food Safety Basics for Churches
Adventist Health Department
44

Description

This course will help provide every local church with the skills and knowledge needed to serve food safely, no matter how big or small the event or function.

Food safety is an important safety issue for every church, not just those that sell food for profit. Those in ‘vulnerable groups’ (such as the young, the old, the immune deficient and the sick) are at particular risk of harm from food poisoning.

This course provides a basic overview of food safety procedures that are relevant to churches. It is NOT a certified safe food handling qualification (such as for employment purposes).

It is the desire of the North NSW Conference (Seventh-day Adventist Church) that a number of people from every congregation, complete this training.
